And regarding the rest of the show...
In my last post, I pretty much just described my part of the show. There were quite a few other performers (several genuine drag kings (not charlatan drag kings, mind you), a few other drag queens, and some people just performing to have fun, and all doing a wide diversity of numbers and readings. We folded this year's moustache party into the show, and that helped make the party much more fun. The prizes keep getting lamer and lamer every year though, sorry everyone. Next time we have a moustache party, we'll be sure to have something really cool, I promise.... maybe.
I missed quite a bit of the show, being backstage, but the parts I caught were inspiring. And I don't know if I mentioned it, but I was pretty exhausted by the end of the night. If there's a next time, I'll keep it to just 2 or 3 numbers and one or two costumes.
